The Unmuted CEO
🎙️ You've been building your business in silence long enough, sis.
Welcome to The Unmuted CEO Podcast—where mom entrepreneurs stop second-guessing, start showing up, and finally get seen for the powerhouse they already are.
I'm Tammy Maynard—mom of six (yes, twins included!), visibility coach, and the woman who turned years of feeling invisible into a thriving business. And sis, if you've ever stared at that "Go Live" button for 20 minutes, rewritten the same caption seven times, or wondered if you'll EVER feel confident enough to show your face online—I see you. Because I've been you.
Here's what you'll find inside every episode:
Real talk about building visibility on YOUR terms—no hustle culture, no "rise and grind" BS, just strategies that work WITH your life, not against it.
Behind-the-scenes of what it actually takes to show up consistently when you're juggling kids, a business, and trying to remember if you ate lunch.
Mindset shifts that turn "I'm not ready" into "watch me work."
Practical systems for batch content creation, time management, and staying visible without burning out.
Guest conversations with women who've walked this path and come out the other side—thriving, not just surviving.
This isn't another podcast telling you to do more. This is permission to show up as you are, build confidence one post at a time, and finally turn that quiet potential into the seen, paid impact you've been dreaming about.
Whether you're a brand new entrepreneur or you've been lurking in the shadows for years, it's time to get unmuted. Your voice matters. Your business matters. And sis—you were made to be seen.
New episodes drop every Monday—because your next level of confidence can't wait.

Welcome to the Unmuted CEO podcast. I'm Tammy Maynard, and this is where Montrepreneurs come to turn quiet potential into seeing paid impact. If you've been billing in silence, second guessing your voice, or wondering when you'll finally step into the spotlight, you're in the right place. Here there's no fluff, no perfection, just real conversations about visibility, confidence, and building a business that works with your life, not against it. So grab your coffee girl, your tea, or whatever keeps you sane today, and let's dive in. Today, I want to talk about what's really holding so many of us back in business. Not the algorithm, not the lack of followers, not even a lack of resources. I want to talk about hiding. About that quiet voice inside that says, Maybe if I play small, no one will judge me. About that nervous feeling when you think about going live or pitching your offer and your mind says, Who am I to do this? But sis, what if I told you your next breakthrough is hiding on the other side of the very thing you're afraid to do? Let's get real for a second. How many times have you had an amazing idea, a burning message, a strategy that could really help somebody, but you kept it to yourself? How many times have you typed out a post or recorded a video? Then sat there with your finger hovering over post only to delete it or save it in your drafts? I've been there too. I remember back when I was just starting my business. I would write entire posts in my notes app, record voice memos to myself, sometimes late at night when everyone else was asleep. Because I was so worried about what people would think if I said it out loud. It wasn't that I didn't have the strategy. It wasn't that I didn't know my stuff. It was that deep down, I was still wrestling with that old programming, the be seen but not too seen. Speak, but not too loud. Shine, but not so bright that you make everyone else feel uncomfortable. And let's keep it real. As women, especially black women, especially moms, especially introverts, we're taught to take care of everybody. Make sure everyone's comfortable and to not do too much. But you know what? That programming is a lie, and it's costing you everything you say you want. I want you to ask yourself, what is staying hitting costing you right now? Is it keeping you from launching your program? Is it holding you back from pitching that new brand idea? Is it making you afraid to share your real story? The parts that don't have a pretty bow? Is it stopping you from going live or from showing up consistently? Because you're worried about how you look or what your friends and family might say. Let's go even deeper. Sometimes we hide not because we don't want success, but because somewhere in our journey, someone made us believe that success wasn't for people like us. Maybe you grew up being told stay in a child's place. Maybe you were bullied or ignored. Or maybe every time you did speak up, you were met with criticism or silence. You know, I was the quiet girl for a long time, not because I didn't have thoughts, but because I was afraid that if I spoke up, I'd be misunderstood or rejected. Fast forward to building the business, raising six kids, leading communities of women. And you know what? The voice of who do you think you are still creeps up sometimes. But now I recognize it for what it is, an old story. And since old stories don't get to run new seasons, let's talk strategy. Because here, we don't just get inspired, we get equipped. The first strategy I want to talk about is to practice micro boldness daily. You don't have to go from silent to keynote speaker overnight. Boldness is built in small, consistent actions. Go live for three minutes. Post a behind the scenes story of your workspace, even if it's a mess. Be authentic. DM someone you admire and introduce yourself. Pitch your offer to just one person today. Every time you do something that stretches you, you build evidence that you can be bold, that you can survive being seen, and that the world doesn't end when you speak up. The next strategy I want to talk about is to name and challenge the fear you're feeling. Since let's name it. What's really keeping you from showing up? Is it the fear of being judged, of failing publicly, of being too much? Write it down. Say it out loud, and then challenge it with truth. God has not given me the spirit of fear, but of power, love, and sound mind. 2 Timothy verse 1 7. The third strategy I want to talk about is to anchor yourself in your why. Whenever you feel yourself shrinking, come back to your purpose. Who loses if you stay hidden? What opportunities are missed if your message never gets out? There's a person, maybe hundreds, maybe thousands, waiting for your voice. Your business is not just about products and profit. It's about impact and legacy. One of the biggest lies of entrepreneurship is that you have to do it alone. In the unmuted sisterhood community, we share how having sisterhood mentors and women like you can make all the difference. There were days I was ready to quit. Days I felt invisible. But it was this sisterhood, those real honest connections, conversations, and bonds that pulled me through. Sometimes your boldness is borrowed from other women who have faith in you. If you're interested in joining, go ahead and send me a DM. Join the Immunted Sisterhood on Facebook. Plug in because isolation will keep you small, but community will pull you higher. Now let's talk practical wisdom. Here's what I want you to do this week. The first step I want you to take is visibility ritual. Every morning, declare today I will be bold. Today I will be seen. My story matters, and I will not shrink. The second step is the boldness challenge. Pick one thing you've been scared to do. Whether it's go live, share a post, record a video, post that unfiltered story. DM that business lead. Take messy action, sis. And the third step is that I want you to celebrate and reflect. At the end of the day, celebrate your boldness. Reflect on how it made you feel. What shifted? What breakthrough came from showing up even when you were afraid? Before we close out, let's get grounded. I want you to know you do not need permission to shine. You're not too loud. You're not too much. You are not too ambitious. You're called. Let us pray. Dear Father, I lift up every single woman listening. Give her the courage to silence that voice in her head. To silence the voice of fear, to walk boldly in her purpose and to show up even when it's uncomfortable. Let her be unmuted in her business, in her life, and in her faith. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen. Since this episode spoke to you, I want you to do one bold thing for me this week. Tag me at Tammy Maynard underscore official.
